Guijarro-Donadios and Perez-Manrique to Present Research in Mexico City

Antonio Guijarro-Donadios and Ana Perez-Manrique (World Languages) have been invited to TRADUIC, a conference in Mexico City, Mexico, being held June 6-8.

They sent in an abstract primarily to combine their research with an opportunity to look at how degree programs in translation are constructed.

The presentation is an analysis of the integration of the field of translation in the university curricular field of modern languages through a real case, according to the TRADUIC website.

TRADUIC 2018 is a conference that “…will bring together the main actors of the language industry: translators, locators and professional interpreters, as well as teachers and students of translation and interpretation in Mexico and abroad with a series of lectures, round tables, a panel of award-winning young researchers,” according to the website.

It is organized by the Intercontinental University of Mexico City, through the Divisional Direction of Social Sciences and its Translation School.
